(play)ground-less is a group of artists based in Madrid, Southend, Copenhagen and London. Their being-in-relation evolves through changing media and technology, following a method based on tactics and conversations from which their work unfolds. With an interest in tactility and language their practice delves into ideas of play, non-knowledge and improvisation. They met at the Slade School of Fine Arts (2010-2012) and formed the group in 2014. Together they share a wide range of skills and experiences including moving image work, text production, sculptural production, performance and research practices. In January 2023 (play)ground-less were residents at Metal Southend during which they prepared for a research lead residency at the @residencia_prosopagnosia in May 2023. Selected exhibitions include: Burning Eyes, Odeon, Colombia, 2019; Resolution is not the point at Photo 50, London Art Fair, 2018; Hollow Tongues at Gasworks London 2017; (play)ground-less at Space in Between, 2016.
